Overview

Length of Employment:  June 18 - August 31, 2018

                                       Training dates will be held prior to start date

 

Training Wage is $14.00 / hour

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Summer Camp Coordinator, this position is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of all camp supplies and equipment and the daily delivery of the Departmental mail to all Community Centres.  The Courier for Summer Day Camps will also be responsible for creating, prioritizing and implementing a schedule for daily purchases and deliveries to ensure all goods and services are delivered on time.

Qualifications

This position requires a team player who is able to function in a multi-task environment with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.  Excellent written and verbal skills, as well as superior organizational skills are required.  Demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage.  Other necessary skills include self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision.  You must have a valid class “G2” or "G" driver’s license.   The successful candidates will also be required to provide a current satisfactory driver's abstract from the M.T.O.  Experience working in a delivery service setting would be an asset.  The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Security Screening.
