Overview

Length of Employment:  June 4 – August 31, 2018

 

Training Wage is $14.00 / hour

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Camp Supervisor will plan and develop day-to-day programming and special events for a specific summer camp program.  You will supervise the Camp Counsellors working in the Summer Camp program and provide on-going direction supervision and evaluations.  The Camp Supervisor will assist the Camp Coordinators and Directors in establishing and implementing the annual orientation for Camp Counsellors.  The Camp Supervisor will also be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment and completing administrative duties.

Qualifications

You possess a High School Diploma, High Five certification and a current Standard First Aid & CPR C Certification.  You have the ability to effectively communicate with tact, courtesy, discretion and diplomacy with all levels of staff and the public.  Demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage.   You are a team player with excellent analytical, administrative, organizational and problem-solving skills and written/oral communication skills.  You have the ability to work non-standard hours, including evening and/or weekends, throughout the term of the contract when operationally required. The successful candidate will also be required to pass a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector check.
