Overview

Challenge Course Supervisor - Certified

Hourly Rate:  $16.85 - $18.10 (currently under review)

 

Challenge Course Supervisor- Non-Certified

Hourly Rate:  $16.35 - $17.85 (currently under reveiw)

 

Up to 24 hours / week

Various evenings, weekends & statutory holidays

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of related activities and supervision of staff and participants on a high and low ropes course and climbing wall.  You will work with and supervise other team members in developing educational and experiential activities for all elements of the challenge course.  Participants will range in age from 6 years to adult/senior and may be part of a corporate group, school group or private-user group.  You will be responsible for the overall supervision of the activities and participants while the challenge course is in operation, as well as ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed during operation.

Qualifications

  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 1 year job related experience that meets job requirements (e.g. personal and professional)
  • Level 1 Challenge Course Practitioner Certification would be considered an asset
  • Possess Current Standard First Aid & CPR C/AED Certification
  • High Five Certification
  • Demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage
  • You are a team player with superior organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a multi-task environment
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are essential to facilitate effective customer service delivery
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision are key to your success in this role
  • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check upon hiring
  • Successful candidates must be able to attend regular training sessions throughout the year
