Overview

Up to 24 hours / week

Various evenings, weekends & statutory holidays

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outdoor Recreation & Challenge Course Coordinator, you will lead registered program participants and private-user groups through a variety of outdoor recreational activities at various parks and facilities.  Activities may include campfire building, pond exploration geocaching and hiking.

 

Qualifications

  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Certification
  • High Five Certification
  • You are a team player with superior organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a multi-task environment
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are essential to facilitate effective customer service delivery
  • Demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision are key to your success in this role
  • Working knowledge of handheld GPS units and/or geocaching is an asset
  • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire
  • Successful candidates must be able to attend regular training sessions throughout the year
