  • Overview

    Up to 24 hours / week - Flexible hours including evenings & weekends

     

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Supervisor, Facility Operations & Community Centres & Pools, this position is responsible for assisting with both facility supervision and facility operations maintenance which will include:

     

    Facility Attendant I - Community Centre

    • Opening & Closing of the facility
    • Perform chemical readings of swimming pools
    • Treat minor pool foulings
    • Set-up and take down of tables, chairs and program equipment
    • General cleaning of community centre and pool which will include mopping, deck hosing, sweeping, vacuuming, garbage pick-up and when applicable, cleaning entrance ways/exits from snow
    • Completing daily facility and safety check lists
    • Communicating effectively with permit holders and general public

    Facility Attendant I - Theater

    • Opening and closing of the facility
    • Assist with loading of equipment on loading dock
    • Set-up and take down of tables, chairs and program equipment
    • General cleaning of lobbies, auditorium and backstage which will include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, garbage pick-up and when applicable, clearing entrance ways/exits from snow
    • Experience in facility maintenance preferred
    • Completing daily facility and safety check lists
    • Communicating effectively with permit holders and general public

    Facility Attendant II - Community Centre

    • Opening & closing of the facility
    • Set-up and take down of tables, chairs and program equipment
    • General cleaning of Community Centre which will include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, garbage pick-up and when applicable, cleaning entrance ways/exits from snow
    • Completing daily facility and safety check lists
    • Communicating effectively with permit holders and general public

    Facility Attendant II - Theater

    • Opening & closing of the facility
    • Set-up and take down of tables, chairs and program equipment
    • General cleaning of Community Centre which will include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, garbage pick-up and when applicable, cleaning entrance ways/exits from snow
    • Completing daily facility and safety check lists
    • Communicating effectively with permit holders and general public

     

    Qualifications

    Facility Attendant I - Community Centre/Theater

    • Must be a least 16 years of age
    • You must possess a current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED certification
    • Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage
    • Ability to enforce rules and regulations
    • Possess your own CSA certified steel toe safety boots
    • Valid Glass G Driver’s License would be considered an asset
    • The successful candidate will also be required to pass a vulnerable sector security clearance within one month of commencing the position

     

    Facility Attendant II - Community Centre/Theater

    • Must be a least 16 years of age
    • You must possess a current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED certification
    • Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage
    • Ability to enforce rules and regulations
