Overview

Contract:  April 30 – August 31, 2018

Monday to Friday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Information Governance, the successful applicant will provide assistance to the Information Governance staff in the operation, maintenance and support of the Information Governance Program.  This may include the organization and filing of records, scanning and digitization of records, responding to inquiries and assisting in other administrative and clerical support as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably working towards a degree in Library / Information Science or related field
  • Knowledge of municipal government processes and organization
  • Ability to effectively handle demanding customer expectations and respond quickly to changing priorities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing  and presentation programs
  • You demonstrate the Town’s corporate values of service, collaboration, care, and courage
  • Experience using scanning software would be considered an asset
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting and carrying of heavy boxes
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
