    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the CAO, the Commissioner, Community Services provides visionary leadership for a diverse portfolio including Recreation & Culture, Fire Services, Public Works Operations, and By-Law & Licensing Enforcement divisions. Leading your team of 427 full-time and 1,000 part-time staff, you demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and excellence, and inspire a strong customer service culture. The Commissioner is a key advisor to the CAO and Council and builds relationships across the corporation and in the community. You will provide the strategic framework for the portfolio to execute the vision and priorities of the Town.

    Qualifications

    With more than 15 years of relevant portfolio experience, several in a management capacity, you understand municipal/public sector operations and services. Your service orientation along with your experience modernizing and implementing initiatives makes you a strong candidate. You have led organizational change initiatives and are known for building relationships with broad stakeholder groups. Modelling leadership through the Town’s values of care, collaboration, courage, and service, you’ve built teams that are engaged and committed.
