  • Overview

               

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you will lead and supervise a group children and teens in an afternoon school recreational program.  Instructors will be directly involved in the implementation and delivery age-appropriate activities, ensure participant safety and engagement, follow policies and procedures, and work effectively with the Program Coordinator & school facility staff.   

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1-year experience
    • Current Standard First Aid & CPR B Certification
    • High Five Certification
    • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision are key to your success in this role
    • You are a team player with superior organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a multi-task environment
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are essential to facilitate effective customer service delivery
    • Strong decision making skills
    • You demonstrate Richmond Hill’s corporate values of care, collaboration, courage and service
    • Team player who is flexible and able to positively react to last minute changes
    • Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire
    • Successful candidates must be able to attend regular training sessions throughout the year
