Reporting to the Commissioner, Corporate & Financial Services, the Director, Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic human resources for approximately 2,200 staff. The division includes employee and labour relations, health, safety and wellness, benefits, compensation, recruitment, learning and development, workforce planning, and performance management. Current in the latest HR trends, tools, and legislative changes, the Director provides HR guidance and support to Council and the senior management team, while leading a team of 11 staff.
A seasoned HR generalist with more than 15 years of relevant experience, the ideal candidate has worked in a unionized setting and participated in labour contract negotiations. Skilled in workforce planning, ERP implementation, compensation and wellness strategies make you a strong match for this position and the Town’s current HR priorities.
