    Length of Employment:   July 2 – August 30, 2019

                                            (Training dates will be held prior to start date) (June 22, June 27 & June 28, 2019)

                                            (Training Wage is $14.00 / hour)


    Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Camp Counsellor will supervise a group of children or youth in a day camp setting. Camp Counsellors will assist in the implementation and delivery of camp activities.  Ensure campers safety and security throughout the day.  Follow policies and procedures, while delivering camp services.  Work effectively with the Program Coordinator, Camp Directors, Supervisors, peers, participants and the public. 


    Candidates must be a minimum 15 years of age. You must possess background experience and an eagerness to work with children as well as strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.  You must possess a Leader In Training Certificate, High Five certification, and a current Standard First Aid & CPR C Certification.  Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.  You demonstrate Richmond Hill's corporate values of care, collaboration, courage and service.  Specialty camp staff are expected to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the applicable area.  The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening.
