    Training Wage is $14.00 / hour 

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Camp - Director Inclusion will assist in coordinating and implementing all integration services provided through the summer day camps.  Specific duties will include the following:  provide orientation, training, supervision and evaluation of Camp Counsellors - Inclusion and volunteers; ensure adaptation of programs to meet the needs of registrants; liaise with families before and during the camp season to ensure a smooth transition of campers with disabilities; provide support to Camp Counsellors - Inclusion when needed; ensure there are effective communication systems in place in order to work effectively with other Camp Directors, Supervisors, peers, participants and the public.  Administrative duties will include assisting with the preparation of payroll time sheets, ordering supplies and equipment, recording and tracking participation numbers and scheduling Camp Counsellors - Inclusion.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma, plus additional courses in a post-secondary program related to working with people with a disability would be preferred. Previous experience working with children with a disability in a camp or recreational environment is definitely an asset.  This position requires a team player with the ability to function in a multi-task environment.  You demonstrate Richmond Hill's corporate values of care, collaboration, courage and service.  You will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other necessary skills include self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision.  You must possess a High Five Certification, current Standard First Aid & CPR C certification and a valid Ontario Class "G2" Driver's License, and have access to a vehicle for use on corporate business (mileage compensated).  Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.  You will be required to provide proof of vehicle insurance upon hire.  Crisis Prevention Intervention is preferred.  The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Security Screening.
