  • Overview

    HOURS OF WORK:  Part-time up to 24 hours per week


    Reporting to the Fitness Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and leading safe, effective and enjoyable exercise classes (Aerobic or Aquafitness) by providing excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and high-energy motivation. Duties will also include educating the participants in the correct exercise techniques including the importance/benefits of exercise, complete all necessary forms/accident reports, be willing and available to answer participant’s questions/queries, participate in all mandatory staff training and meetings, maintain all current certifications and send updated copies to the Fitness Supervisor, assist in finding class coverage if necessary.


    You must have a current Fitness Instructor or Aquafitness Instructor certification, a Standard First Aid and CPR B certification or higher, and previous experience teaching Fitness Classes. You are a punctual, cooperative, organized, enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service and time management skills.  You demonstrate Richmond Hill’s corporate values of care, collaboration, courage and service.  As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check.  Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
